Snow Shoeing

I thought that while I was here I should post a couple of pictures from last week. We have about 18" of snow from two storms during the weekend before Christmas. There are hiking trails where I work and in the winter there are a few of us that love to snow shoe on them. This is a picture of Mike & Kristen from the start of a trail.

Me & Kristen

Here I Am!

Hmmm, I haven't posted in awhile have I? I guess this is going to take a little more effort. I am going to have to ask my nephew for some blogging tips. You can check his sports blog out at - http://www.masslive.com his Blog is called Six Minutes Blog.

First off - Many thanks to the support of my friends, family, and church family during my fund raising efforts. Your kind donations and purchases of my bracelets, book thongs, and baked goods has helped me to raise over $700.00 to date. I am almost half way there!

My training has been coming along. I have every confidence that I will be ready for the walk in May 2009. Currently my longest walk is 6 miles.

If you live in the Marlboro area, keep your eyes open for me. I'll be the smooth walker sporting a great backpack given to me by my DSis and DGD. It is a black backpack that is also an insulated cooler with a big pink ribbon on the front.

Here is a pic of my DM and DN, taken by DN. I taught her all of her camera skillz ;-)

Happy New Year!

Beads, Beads, Beads

I decided I was going to make pink beaded bracelets to help my fund raising. Anyone that knows me knows how passionately I dislike crafts like beading. But a few weeks ago I found myself sitting at my GF's (Barbara) kitchen table learning how to bead. I think they came out pretty good. We decided to make book thongs (Hey I didn't name them) too - take a gander -
